This set of 5 square glass plates are one of my favorite finds. I love how whimsical they are with their floral etched detailing along the sides and the shallow bowl. Blown glass. Made in the USA. There are no maker's marks; identification of the maker is based off the pattern. These would make fabulous dessert plates!
Maker: Rock Sharpe (attributed usually to Libbey)
Pattern: Stem 2011-4. Features an etched floral motif with leaves and a series of four circles under the flower.
Production Time Period: Unknown, likely from the 1940s when Rock Sharpe Crystal was advertised
Plate Shape: Dessert. salad, or bread plate.
Dimensions: 7.25" wide
In good vintage condition. No chips or cracks. All plates do show wear consistent with age and normal use. I have highlighted the utensil marks within the photos, along with the one plate that has a tiny imperfection/chip (see last photo). I also noticed that a few plates have minor cloudiness in spots, likely from hard water, harsh dish detergent, or being placed in the dishwasher.
How to Care For: Hand wash in lukewarm water with mild detergent. Rinse in same temperature water and hand dry. Do not place in dishwasher.
Vintage glassware is extremely temperature sensitive and going from cold to warm can "shock" the glass causing it to shatter.
