The E.O. Brody Company was founded in 1958 by Ernest Oscar Brody, aka E.O. His company was not a glass manufacturer itself, but rather a distributor. The company specialized in creating flower vases for wholesale florists. E.O. Brody milk glass was mass-produced, and made of pressed glass. The E.O. Brody products were created out of molds marked with the company's name, manufactured by glass companies. In 1971, E.O. Brody Company was bought by Lancaster Colony Corporation. Indiana Glass is thought to have been the primary producer of E.O. Brody glassware. In 2007, E.O. Brody and Indiana Glass were acquired by Anchor Hocking.
